--cReDiT: MTV.COM-- MTV's beloved VJ Carson Daly first burst on the scene as a permanent "resident" on MTV Motel California. Now he's busting out as the host of Total Request Live, the show where YOU get to pick the videos. Carson was raised in sunny Santa Monica, California with one sister, one cat, and one dog. After graduating from Santa Monica High School, Carson enrolled at Loyola Marymount University. Pondering theology or playing the amateur golf circuit were Carson's plans for the future, but all that changed when he became an intern at a Palm Springs radio station. After a short stint in the radio trenches, he was promoted to producer of the KCMJ morning show. In 1995, Carson was offered the coveted afternoon drive shift at KOME-FM in San Jose. His first assignment was to cover the 1995 MTV Video Music Awards live from New York City. The following summer he headed back home as the night voice at L.A.'s World Famous KROQ-FM. From there it was a matter of time before MTV realized his talent and snatched him up. Now, the boy from sunny Santa Monica lives in New York City, where Total Request Live broadcasts live (duh) from Times Square every weekday. |

Also, to give it a more realistic feel, the band will be filming music videos. (By the way, Carson Daly will be appearing in the movie).
